Liturgical Ministries

Eucharistic Ministers

Provide communion to parishioners. Diocesan training is required. Eucharist Ministers are also necessary to provide communion to parishioners in nursing homes and at home.

Altar Servers

Assist the Priest in various functions during Mass. Training is done at the parish; contact TBA for more information.

Lectors

Proclaims the readings for the appropriate day. Lectors are needed for all Sundays, weekdays, and Holy Days.

Ushers

Greet Parishioners as they arrive, help them find seats, if necessary, collect the offerings and assist where needed.

Additional Ministries outside of Mass


 1.  Care and upkeep of altar linens, vestments and various other linens needed for Mass and Sacraments. This includes laundry and dry cleaning.


2.  Care and upkeep of non-linen items such as candle followers, and other brass, silver and gold, glassware and other items used in Church.


3.  Decoration – Helping to provide flowers and arrangements to decorate the altars.


4.  Other help such as placing items in the pews and/or collecting items from the pews. Cleaning before major Holy Days.
